Mercedes-Benz S-Class
Long southern distances, quietly.
The S-Class is the one saloon we run in Finland, and it stays in the south. Helsinki business, the coast road to Turku, the lake district in summer — long, fast distances where a quiet cabin and a rear bench built for two matter more than four-wheel drive.

A rear bench built for two, not three
The S-Class rear compartment is configured for two passengers rather than a squeezed middle seat. Both outer positions recline, both have their own climate zone, and the centre armrest carries the controls for seat, screen and blinds. It is the difference between sitting in a car and working in one.
Southern Finland's distances are long and straight — Helsinki to Turku is two hours — and that is where the cabin earns its keep: a rear seat you can work from, and road noise low enough to take a call without raising your voice.
The saloon that stays in the south
Most S-Class bookings in Finland start at Helsinki-Vantaa and never leave the southern coast: meetings in the city, a delegation to Espoo, the two-hour run to Turku. On those roads it is the most comfortable car we deliver in the country.
We are honest about where it stops being the right car. For Lapland we send the GLS, G-Class, Range Rover or XC90 north instead, and we will say so when you enquire.
The S-Class from Helsinki to Lapland
We meet you in arrivals at Helsinki-Vantaa, or deliver to Hotel St. George, Kämp, Lilla Roberts or a private address inside a confirmed 60-minute window. The West Harbour terminals are standard delivery points too.
Winter tyres are a legal requirement in the Finnish winter and are fitted from October to April at no cost, studded on request. Tallinn and Stockholm sailings are permitted, and cross-border travel into Sweden and Norway is noted on the papers.
Renting the S-Class in Finland
Can the Mercedes-Benz S-Class be delivered in Rovaniemi or Levi?
Both are regular delivery points for the cars we send north. Fly in and the car meets you at Rovaniemi or Kittilä with the cabin already warm, rather than driving a thousand kilometres to begin the holiday.
Does the S-Class have studded tyres?
Winter tyres are a legal requirement in the Finnish winter and are fitted on every car from October to April at no cost. Studded tyres are available on request.
Is the S-Class suitable for Lapland in January?
It is not the car we recommend north of the Arctic Circle. For a January week in Lapland we deliver the GLS or the G-Class to Rovaniemi or Kittilä instead, and keep the S-Class for Helsinki and the south.
How much luggage fits in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class?
Three large cases plus soft bags in the cabin is comfortable for two passengers. If you are four with full luggage, the GLS or V-Class is the better call and we will say so when you enquire.
Is a chauffeur available with the S-Class?
Yes. English-speaking, vetted drivers can be booked by the day or for the full stay, and can be added part-way through a rental if plans change.
